Cena: pinned Swagger on Smackdown

New World Heavyweight Champion John Cena returned to Smackdown for the first time in 10 months - and promptly picked up a victory.

The Cenation Leader - who poached his gold at the recent Hell in a Cell pay-per-view by beating Alberto Del Rio - banded with WWE Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust in Tampa, and the trio defeated three of the locker room's brightest talents.

Damien Sandow - who unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Cena on Monday Night Raw - and Real American grapplers Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro battled gamely in the blue brand's main event.
But the triumvirate - who had earlier interrupted Cena's address to the WWE Universe - were quelled by their rivals, when Cena evaded Swagger's attempt to apply the Patriot Lock, and levelled the Oklahoman with a spine-tingling Attitude Adjustment.

Elsewhere, on an evening of high-octane tag team brawls, The Usos vanquished The Shield's Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins - before United States Champion Ambrose was flattened post-bout by his muscular foe Big E Langston.

The Wyatt Family, who made their mark on Raw by laying out Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, were dominant again, with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan conquering the Prime Time Players and Bray Wyatt rubberstamping proceedings with a Sister Abigail to Titus O'Neill.

Natalya, meanwhile, forced AJ Lee to tap out to the Sharpshooter during a six-Diva tag encounter, in which the Queen of Harts united with the Bella Twins and the Black Widow grouped with her henchwoman Tamina Snuka and Alicia Fox.

Plus, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels - whose shock Sweet Chin Music cost Bryan the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell - failed to show up for his interview on Miz TV, with Randy Orton appearing in his place.

And The Viper, who benefitted from Michaels' actions in Miami and snared the WWE Title, reflected on his vicious beating of The Miz a few weeks previously - and then brutalised the Awesome One again with his patented RKO.
