OKWI DOUBFUL FOR RWANDA OPENER

Okwi doubtful for Rwanda opener

By Kenneth Muwanga in Nairobi
CRANES are likely to negotiate their CECAFA Challenge Cup opening fixture against Rwanda without lead striker Emmanuel Okwi.
The SC Villa forward is still battling with malaria.
Okwi who trained with the rest of the team on Thursday at the Nairobi City Stadium felt unwell after the team returned to their hotel at Milele.

Kiira Young defender Richard Kasagga will assume the captaincy role while Dan Sserunkuuma will lead the Cranes’ attack.
Hamis Diego Kizza who has been battling injury will have to pass a late fitness test if he is going to play any part in the game.
Sserunkuuma seems to have settled in the Cranes team and was prolific during training yesterday morning.
Probable Cranes XI: Benjamin Ochan, Nicholas Wadada, Godfrey Walusimbi, Savio Kabugo, Kasaaga Richard, Godfrey Baba Kizito, Aucho Khalid, Vicent Kayizzi, Brian Majwega, Dan Sserunkuuma, Joseph Mpande
